To build the best wiring harnesses on the market starts with the best possible materials. We take high quality American made wiring, and hand crimp every contact in every connector used. After ensuring a secure crimp from the proper tools, we apply just enough solder to bolster the connection. This drastically increases the overall strength and durability of the harness, while at the same time making it much more corrosion and oxidation resistant. We have yet to find anyone else that adheres to these strict standards. Once the harness is laid out and assembled, it is then braided using a poly-coated yarn. Not only does this give the harness protection from UV, weathering, abrasion, fire and heat, oil, grease, and pretty much every other kind of engine fluid, it adds a significant touch of style to whatever itís installed on.
Just like with our harnesses, we shopped around to find the absolute best quality of multi-conductor polyurethane cable to use in every custom cable we make. They are extremely weather resistant, and virtually impervious to water, fuel, oil, and most other chemicals. Depending on the application and customerís request, the connectors are then injection molded with a high strength overmold that eliminates the most common point of failure.
We painstakingly engineer each battery cable with the same care and quality used in our harnesses. They are cut to any length required and no matter what gauge is used, they are all crimped and soldered to keep corrosion out of the cables, a problem that plagues so many cheaply manufactured automotive cables. At the request of the customer, we then apply the same excellent braid used in our harnesses to give the cables an extra layer of protection.
Our Defender series power distribution blocks house 6 relays and up to 10 circuit breakers or fuses. These are built on a simple circuit board complete with long lasting LED indicators: red to show power at the relay, and blue to indicate power has passed through the relay. This drastically reduces time spent in the event diagnostics to your system are needed. We install these very same PDBs in our frac pumps, and have yet to have a single failure due in part to their rigid construction. Each block is also sealed with a clear acrylic compound to protect against vibration, as well as intrusion of water, moisture, oil, and other engine chemicals. Every board can be used in 12V or 24V applications, and additional relay and/or fuse slots are available at the customerís request.
